I have spent countless hours in the car driving my daughter and now my granddaughter to their soccer practices and games.
The only rule I had is no one could access their cell phones during the long drive.
During the long drive, I learned a couple of things:
1. I’m not as smart as I thought I was. I learned things that I wanted to know, and I learned things that I didn’t want to know, usually on the same trip. I learned which kid was mean to another kid. I learned which boy was looking at another girl, etc.…
2. I realized that it is much tougher being a kid today than when I was a kid.
Also, during quiet spells, I would provide stories about my own growing up, which my passengers would find hilarious. So this blog will be the retelling of these stories.
Can’t wait to hear the embarrassing stories about me!
